Tell the Senate to Pass the HEROES Act Now!
Individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD), their families, and direct support professionals (DSP) who work with
them need to be included in HR 6800, the HEROES Ac t (Health and Economic Recovery Omnibus Emergency Solutions Act). The US House passed the bill on May 15, 2020. Now it is time for the Senate to act, but instead they came up with the HEALS Act, a series of bills that focuses on lowering unemployment benefits and helping business. We MUST let them know that the provisions in the HEROES act are critical and must be included in the final bill!

Paid time off for family caregivers, including grandparents and siblings of people with I/DD for emergencies and losing a care provider;
