HOW DO I APPLY TO BECOME A MEMBER?
The application process is now open! We are looking for dedicated individuals who want to join the 2020-21 Team. If you have a service heart and are ready to dedicate 11 months of your life, starting August, 2020 serving our community, begin the application process by downloading the Information Packet and contacting Jennie Bergman to set up a time to return the packet. At this time, Life Works is closed to the public. You must have an appointment with Jennie Bergman or Marsha Treadway to enter the building. Cowlitz AmeriCorps Network (CAN) Application Process
Step 1: Download Information Packet and Questionnaire (PIPQ) form located on the Life Works website listed below. Complete the packet and contact Jennie Bergman to set up a time to return the packet to 906 New York St., Longview WA.
At this time, the Life Works building is closed to the public. You must have an appointment with Jennie Bergman or Marsha Treadway to enter the building.

Step 2: Complete the AmeriCorps Application provided to you by Jennie or Marsha at your appointment. Set up a time to return the packet to 906 New York St., Longview WA by following the directions above. The following forms will also be provided to you at this time and must be completed along with the application: Authorization to Release Information and the AmeriCorps Eligibility Verification forms.
Step 3: Provide the two reference forms included with your application packet to two individuals who can speak on behalf of your abilities to serve as an AmeriCorps Member (no friends or family). They must follow the directions on the form and return the form by mailing it to 906 New York St., Longview WA or emailing it directly from their own email address to: email@example.com.
**If the directions are not followed the reference
will not be valid
Step 4: Selected applicants will be invited for a CAN interview. Those selected to continue in the hiring process will be forwarded to our Host Sites who will also interview applicants and make the determination on selection into our program.
**Bring the following to the CAN Interview: Social Security Card, Driver’s License, Birth Certificate, and Diploma or GED
